Martin Wechsler shelves books at the St. Louis Public Library and lives with his mother. One day, he is recognized by a stranger on a train. This chance encounter leads him to dig deep into his forgotten past. He discovers the reason for his memory loss, why he lives at home, why there is a hole in his head.
